“Proses Komunikasi Antarpersonal Dalam Menangani Konflik Pasangan Suami Istri Beda Suku” (Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif Pada Pasangan Suku Jawa Dan Sunda)

The phenomenon of inter-ethnic marriage as a form of change, due to the times. These symptoms mostly occur in big cities in Indonesia. With increased mobilization to cities, it is easier to meet individuals with different ethnic backgrounds. This also increases the incidence of inter-ethnic marriages. Because inter-ethnic marriage couples have many differences, especially in terms of communication, this research is to find out how the interpersonal communication process carried out by the inter-ethnic couple in dealing with conflict. The purpose of this study was to find out how the interpersonal communication process in dealing with conflicts between husband and wife of different ethnicities. The methodology in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study uses interview and documentation data collection techniques. The subjects in this study were a married couple who carried out intercultural marriages between Javanese and Sundanese tribes. The results of this study indicate that interpersonal communication in cross-cultural couples in dealing with conflict is carried out directly. Communication is very important in managing and negotiating conflict in a marital relationship. This communication is the main key in maintaining the continuity of their relationship. Communication is also a bridge in solving problems, although when resolving conflicts there will be an obstacle, they will continue to communicate because the way of communicating, conditions, and language are factors that can support the achievement of the process of delivering good communication messages
